What the Maleficent film is telling us

It's simply to alter what we've grown up to believe. To open our minds and to know what reality is.

Because most of us grew up to Disney's Sleeping Beauty and all the other fairytale animation they made for the past couple years. We've grown to love it so much that it influenced us to believe that life and love is like a fairytale, the difference between good & bad and has placed aside what pain and darkness reality also brings us, exactly like in our school books that needs major revision. But turning into adults, we discover it then. Those heartaches and misery that fairytale has promised to keep us from (and failed) and made it harder for some to move on in life. The people that we used to judge easily, to spread gossips about and say that they were evil turned out actually good.

One of the things Maleficent tells us is that Disney finally moved on to modern times and into the reality phase this time to teach us and younger viewers to never judge easily and to not easily believe crap that people say to another person, to be intelligent enough to find out what made a person evil and do such mischievous acts before being emotional and cast stones over. They have their story too.

From a personal experience and from my interpretation of what the movie is trying to project, go get hurt, get knocked down, get your heart broken, cry, hold grudges, avenge what is needed. And right after, get up, wipe your tears, dust yourself off and face reality and life with courage, pride and positivity with all the lessons you've learned from the darkness as it makes you stronger and wiser.

Life will never be a fairytale nor it will be promising, it is what you make it.
